Costco Wholesale is a members only sales club. This location is located at 11588 Sarcee Trail NW, in the Beacon Hill Shopping Centre, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The store was built in 2006, and the fire alarm system is original excluding deficiency replacements.

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located by the returns desk. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Mircom RAX-LCD annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Mircom "Select-A-Horn/Strobe" FHS-240R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to broadband/30cd).

By the bakery, there is a Mircom "Select-A-Horn/Strobe" FHS-340R (red) horn/strobe, installed as a deficiency replacement for a damaged FHS-240R (strobe ripped out) in 2012.

At the photography desk, there's a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" PC4RA (red, ceiling-mount, 4-wire) horn/strobe installed 2017 as a deficiency replacement.

In the meat cutting area, there is a Mircom FHS-240W (white) horn/strobe specifically chosen to blend in with the wall, under a cover.

The freezers and dairy coolers have System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MCKA (red, wall-mount, multi-candela) horn/strobes, which are also original.

The produce cooler has a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P4RKA (red, wall-mount) weatherproof horn/strobe, installed as a deficiency replacement in 2021.

For outdoor notification, there are two System Sensor "SpectrAlert" S1224MCKA (red, wall-mount) weatherproof remote strobes, one at the entrance, and one behind the store.
