The Travel Alberta Canmore Visitor Information Centre is a rest stop and visitor information centre located at 2801 Bow Valley Trail, Canmore, Alberta. The visitor information centre was built in the 1980s, and the washroom building was built in 2006. The fire alarm system is not original.
System Specifications (2020s-present)
FACP
The buildings are protected by a Mircom FA-106R conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the visitor information centre mechanical room. The system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances
The visitor information centre has Edwards “Adaptahorn” 881D-AW remote horns (red, flush-mount).
The washroom building has Edwards “Genesis” G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station in the wifi lounge as a deficiency replacement.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the main building.
There are System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the washroom building washrooms, and the storage and mechanical rooms of the visitor information centre.
The washroom building mechanical room has an Edwards 281B-PL conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector; one can also be found in the main area of the washroom building.
There is a System Sensor 5603A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the washroom building main area.
There is a Potter CR-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the wifi lounge.
There is a Potter CF-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the main mechanical room.
There is an FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the visitor information centre file room.
EOLs
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all washroom building circuits.
