Walmart Supercentre is a North American chain of hypermarkets. This particular store is located at 7000 Emerald Drive, in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. The store was built in 2011, and the fire alarm system is mostly original, with a panel upgrade taking place in the early 2020s.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Edwards iO1000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
This panel replaced an EST QuickStart QS4.

Booster Panels[edit | edit source]

There are likely Edwards BPS10A booster power supplies on the system.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Edwards “Genesis” G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
There are Edwards G1-VM remote strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd) in the washrooms and the main storefront.
Horn/strobes and strobes are mounted on pillars throughout the storefront, with two horn/strobes and two remote strobes in an alternating pattern.
The garden centre has Edwards “Integrity” 757-7A-T horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None noticed.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the kitchen suppression system, the fire pump, and the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits supervised by monitor modules, and all signal circuits.
