Rona+ is a Canadian chain of home improvement stores. This particular store is located at 13417 52 St. SE, Calgary, AB. The store was built in 2010 as Lowes, and became Rona+ in 2023 after Lowes sold their Canadian retail division. The fire alarm system is original.

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Mircom RAX-LCD annunciator paired with a Mircom RAX-1048TZDS annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Both annunciators are mounted in a Mircom BB-1002 enclosure.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Wheelock “Exceder” HSRC horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount). Areas with walls nearby, including restrooms, have Wheelock AS-24MCW-FR horn/strobes (red, wall-mount).

This notification appliance setup is very common in Lowe's stores across Canada, as both were in production at the time.
