Rona is a chain of hardware stores. This store was located at 14815 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB, and was built in 1988 as Totem Building Supplies, but was converted into a Rona in the the early 2010s. The store has been closed since January 2020, but the building and fire alarm system are still up. As of October 2020, the building is for lease. As of May 2021, it is currently being used as a COVID-19 testing and vaccine distribution center. The pull stations and one bell and strobe are original.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule, and has Notifier XP6-MA zone cards in it. The system coding is continuous.

The NFS-320C replaced the original Mirtone 7800 in 2022.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Wheelock MBS-G10-24 motor bell/strobes (10" gong, 1.5cd), installed in the early 1990s.

There is one original Mirtone 74303 vibrating bell (10" gong), with a Wheelock WST-24 remote strobe (red, wall-mount, 1.5cd) underneath it.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations except one are Mirtone 73201 conventional dual-action pull stations.

There is a Mircom MS-401 installed in the 2010s as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None noticed.
