Fire Alarmpedia was founded in 2020 as YYC Alarmpedia by three fire alarm enthusiasts from Calgary, Alberta, Canada when they realized that there was no real "fire alarm wiki" and wanted a place where they can update any system upgrades and replacements without having to create a new forum. Since then, we have over 100 pages of building fire alarm systems, and right now we are focusing on making a gradual change to "Fire Alarmpedia" where any fire alarm system can be made as a page and not just in Alberta.
Fire Alarmpedia was founded in 2020 as YYC Alarmpedia by three fire alarm enthusiasts from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. They recognized the lack of a dedicated "fire alarm wiki" and wanted a platform where they could easily update system upgrades and replacements without needing to create a new forum. Since then, Fire Alarmpedia has grown to feature over 1,000 pages documenting building fire alarm systems. In 2021, we changed our name to Fire Alarmpedia to better reflect our expanded focus on documenting fire alarm systems from all around the world.
