Leduc Recreation Centre is a recreation centre located at 4330 Black Gold Drive, in Leduc, Alberta, Canada. It originally opened as the Black Gold Centre in 1978, and originally housed an arena and a 6-lane pool. The building was first expanded in 2004, which added the leisure centre. A major expansion was completed in 2009, which added a twin ice rink, a two-sheet field house, a fitness centre, and numerous other amenities. The complex originally had separate fire alarm systems for the original portion and the expansion. As of 2026, the Simplex system in the expansion now protects the entire complex, and the Notifier system has been removed.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is not publicly accessible. The system runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Annunciators
There are Simplex 4100 operator interface annunciators in every entrance vestibule.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are Simplex "TrueAlert" 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
None noticed.
Modules
There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
EOLs
There are Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.

Former System Specifications (Original Wing & 2004 Expansion)
FACP
The building was protected by a Notifier AFP-200 addressable fire alarm system. The panel was located at the Sobeys Arena entrance. The system ran Notifier's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding was temporal.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances but one were System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).
There was a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2RA horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in the pool area as a deficiency replacement.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
Most pull stations were Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations.
The pool area had a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station next to the female changeroom, and a Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull station at the emergency exit, both as deficiency replacements.
All conventional stations were wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules, located directly behind each station.
Automatic Detection Devices
None noticed, waterflow present.
Modules
There were Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's flow and tamper switches.
EOLs
There were Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
