Real Canadian Superstore is a grocery store chain owned by Loblaw's. This particular location is located near Hamptons, NW Calgary off Country Hills Blvd NW. The store was built in 1994, but the fire alarm system is not original. However, some pull stations may be original.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm panel is a Notifier AFP-200. It is from the early 2000s, and is located in the main entrance. The system had a trouble back in 2016, due to a heat detector. The system is serviced by Chubb Edwards.

Annunciators

There is a Notifier LCD-80TM annunciator outside the entrance doors, but not exposed to rain or snow.

Notification Appliances

The main notification appliances are System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MC (red, wall) horn/strobes, which were installed around the early 2000s. However, in the managers office, a P1224MC stopped working and was replaced with a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2R (red, wall, 2-wire) horn/strobe in 2016.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are a mix of Notifier MPS-950B and NFM-950B. There are a few covered with Stoppers due to a malicious amount of false alarms in 2015. Some of these pull stations may or may not be original to the store.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are System Sensor 1424 direct-wire ionization smoke detectors in the offices and deli.
