Rona is a chain of hardware stores. This location is in the neighborhood of Midnapore in SE Calgary, and was built in 1988 as Totem Building Supplies, but was converted into a Rona in the the early 2010s, likely 2014. The fire alarm system, however, was NOT affected by these changes, and is original from 1988. The panel, some bells and most pull stations are original. The store has been closed since January 2020, but the building and fire alarm system is still up, and users Simplex NimrodES and YYCFireAlarmNimrod will be trying to salvage the system as there are lots of rare goodies. As of October 2020, the building is for lease. As of May 2021, it is currently being used as a COVID-19 testing and vaccine distribution center.
