System Specifications

The original Twentytwo22's Garage was a small residential garage in Sundance, built in 1994. The system was owned by User:Twentytwo22 As of September 1st, 2020 Twentytwo22 has moved to a location in Glenbrook.
The new garage was built in 1966 and plans to add period specific Initiating Devices (except automatic detection) and Notification Appliances are considered.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm panel is an EST (GE) QuickStart QS1 (addressable) from the early 2010s (circuitboard is from 2008) with the PS6 power supply card and one SLIC card. The system was upgraded from a conventional EST QuickStart QSC (made 2005) in February 2021 due to the failure of the QSC CPU and a QS1 CPU being the only replacement available. The QS1 CPU is on the QSC's cabinet.
The panel was transferred over from the old garage. The panel is currently setup in a Single stage manner. When activated the bells do Code-3.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances consist of an Edwards 438D-6N5C 120VAC vibrating bell (from 7044 Ogden Road SE) (see below circuit) on a Wheelock RSSP-2415W strobe plate in the garage, an Edwards "Durabel" 6100D vibrating bell (6" gong, pre-1970s) and an EST "Genesis LED" G1-VRF (red, wall-mount) remote strobe in the attic. There is also 3 Wheelock "Exceder" STWC (white, ceiling-mount) remote strobes on the ground floor.

Pull Stations

Currently, there is is a Simplex 2099-9754 at the man-door. (A section of drywall directly above it was temporarily removed to aid in running wires), a vintage Edwards 270-SPO (1970s) at the overhead door, and another vintage Edwards 270-SPO (2nd Generation) is installed in the attic. (both salvaged from 7044 Ogden Road SE)

Automatic Detection Devices

There is one automatic detection device, an ADT Rebrand of an EST SIGA-PS (ADT-PS) installed beside the door opener on the main floor.

System Specifications (Original Garage)

FACP

The fire alarm panel was an EST Quickstart QSC (conventional) with the PS6 power supply card and one ZB16 card. Most of the Zones were unused and simply had a resistor across them due to the small size of the garage. Now in use on the new garage.

Notification Appliances

The two notification appliances were a Simplex 2901-9722 10" motor bell installed to accommodate owner preference and one EST Genesis G1-VM (white, no fire marking) remote strobe. The 2901-9722 was previously used in a school, and is still in use on the new garage. Formerly, there was a Gentex "Commander 3" GEC3-24WR (red, wall) horn/strobe.

Pull Stations

The pull stations consisted of one Chinese Pull Station, one Fire-Lite BG-12L and one GE-branded Edwards 270-SPO.

Automatic Detection Devices

There was one automatic detection device, a System Sensor C4W-B (i3) smoke detector that replaced a two wire equivalent. (C2W-BA)

New Garage Installation Photos

The panel as it looked on December 27th, 2020 at this point the wiring for the back pull station and the Notifier bell had not yet been run.
The present day BG-12L (keylock) (a replacement in a period specific setting) located near the man door.
The location for the "original" period specific pull station. (To be installed sometime in early 2020) beside the garage door.
The 4W-B (yes, not the Canadian model) positioned adjacent to the door opener.
The location for the last STWC and the last device in the Wheelock circuit located close to the garage door.
The second STWC in the Wheelock circuit located near the furnace.
The first Strobe in the Wheelock circuit wired directly after the RSSP.
The modified "Genesis LED" G1-AVRF Horn/Strobe shortly after installation. (Note the piece of plywood required to give the extra clearance needed by the device.)
