Rona is a chain of hardware stores. This particular location is located in Bowness, NW Calgary. It was built in 1993 as Totem Building Supplies, and then it became a Rona in the early 2010s. Most of the fire alarm system was unaffected, and most notification appliances, and all pull stations are original.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm control panel is a newer Mircom FA-1000. This panel was installed in April 2018, it most likely replaced a Mirtone 7800 from 1993. The panel is located in the main entrance. The system is serviced by Troy LFS.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are Wheelock MBS-G10-24 motor bell/strobes, that are all original from 1993. There seems to be no replacement bell/strobes. There is an outdoor notification appliance by the entrance, and it is a System Sensor "SpectrAlert" S1224MCK (red, wall) weatherproof remote strobe, installed after 1997, but before 2006.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are all Mirtone 73201 dual-action pull stations, which are original.
