Miette Hot Springs is a tourist attraction in Jasper National Park, AB. It is an outdoor hot pool with two pools. The building also has a restaurant, and a souvenir gift shop. Only most of the bells, and maybe one pull is original.
System Specifications
FACP
The fire alarm control panel is an EST QuickStart QS1, from around 2003-2011. It likely replaced an older Edwards/EST panel, likely a 2280 or 6616. The fire alarm panel is located behind the front desk. Despite the QuickStart QS1 being an addressable fire alarm control panel, the system is set up in a non-addressable manner.
Notification Appliances
Most of the notification appliances are older Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells. These bells take 0.075 amps of current instead of the 0.085 amps which are seen in the 1990s-2013 models. The one in the lobby is mounted upside down. Outside where the pools are, there is a Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bell, replacing an older bell no longer functioning.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
Most of the pull stations except for one are Mircom MS-401. They can range from pre-2014 and 2014-current models. It is unknown why they are there. The odd one out pull station is behind the front desk to a staff room, which is an Edwards 270-SPOB biligual pull station, possibly original.
Automatic Detection Devices
The smoke detectors were kept from the original fire alarm system. They are Edwards EDW1451A ionization smoke detectors. One was replaced with a System Sensor i3. The heat detectors are all original, they are Edwards 280B-PL.
