‘’’Coast Hotels’’’ is a Canadian chain of midrange hotels, headquartered in Vancouver, BC. They operate hotels throughout Canada and the United States. This particular hotel is located in Lethbridge, Alberta. The hotel first opened its doors in 1954, and was completely gutted and renovated in 2011. Along with the renovation, the hotel received a new fire alarm system.
System Specifications
FACP
The hotel is protected by an EST Quickstart QS4 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is likely located behind the front desk. The system runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol, and does code 3 in alarm.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are from EST’s “Genesis” line of products. The common areas of the hotel, including conference rooms and ballrooms, have EST G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). The guest rooms themselves have EST G1F-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, fire lettering, set to 110cd).
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hotel.
