'Walmart' is a chain of big box stores across the world. This particular store is located in the Shawnessy shopping area of Southwest Calgary. It was built in 1998, and has the original system.
System Specifications
FACP
The store is protected by an Edwards iO500 addressable fire alarm system. It is unknown where it is located, but the annunciator display format shows that it's an iO500. It most likely replaced an EST2. The system runs EST's Signature-series addressable protocol, and the system coding is continuous; the horns are self-coded to temporal.
Annunciators
There are EST RLCD-C and RLED-24 annunciators located by each entrance.
Notification Appliances
All of the original notification appliances are from EST's "Integrity" line of products. The main notification appliances are EST 757-7A-T (red, wall mount, 15/75cd) horn/strobes, and also EST 405-7A-T (red, wall mount, 15/75cd) remote strobes. These are mounted on poles in groups of 4, with two horn/strobes opposite each other, and two strobes opposite each other. Some were replaced with EST "Genesis" G1R-VM (red, wall mount, no FIRE) remote strobes as deficiency replacements.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
The pull stations are the original EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations, the first generation with the Edwards shield.
Automatic Detection Devices
None noticed.
