'''Safeway''' is a chain of grocery stores in Alberta. This particular location is in Dalhousie, NW Calgary. It is officially called Safeway Dalhousie Station, due to being adjacent to the Dalhousie station on the CTrain line. It was built in 1996, and the fire alarm system was recently replaced, and only a few pull stations remain. The store is in a large plaza, however only the Safeway is protected by a fire alarm system.

The fire alarm panel is a Simplex 4007ES, specifically 4007-9202 (Platinum cabinet). It is located in the entrance on the right. It replaced the original EST 6632 in 2021 because Safeway likes Simplex, and because the 6632 was large, there is drywall covering the 6632's space. The permit issued for this upgrade was "Fire Alarm System Modification - Replace Fire Alarm Panel and select initiating/signaling devices." on February 12, 2021.

The notification appliances are all from Simplex's "TrueAlert" lineup. The store has Simplex 4906-9127 (red, wall-mount, SmartSync) horn/strobes installed in the original bell/strobes places, leaving the area not covered by the horn/strobe unpainted. On the ceilings, there are Simplex 4906-9104 (white, ceiling-mount, SmartSync) remote strobes, installed in place of the previous strobes. Outside the entrance, there is a Simplex 4906-9131 (red, wall-mount, SmartSync) weatherproof remote strobe.

====Notification Appliances====
The notification appliances mainly consisted of the original Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells on EST "Integrity" 403-5A-R strobe plates. In the floral section, there was an Edwards 439D-10AWC bell on a Wheelock RSSP-24MCW strobe plate, the Wheelock strobe plate replaced an EST strobe plate that stopped working. On the ceiling, there was a mix of EST "Integrity" 202-5A-T (red) and 202-5A-TW (white) remote strobes scattered around, all with the standard wall "FIRE" lenses. They were original, and they are for additional visual coverage. Some of them had been replaced with System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" SRA (red, wall) remote strobes, again on the ceiling. For outdoor notification, the there was an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell on an EST 403-5A-R strobe plate at the entrance.
Most notification appliances were Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong), mounted on Edwards 403-5A-001 strobe plates (15cd). There was one Wheelock RSSP-24MCW strobe plate in the floral department as a deficiency replacement; the Edwards bell remained intact. The centre areas of the store had Edwards 202-5A-001 remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd) and Edwards 202-5A-001 remote strobes (white, wall-mount, 15cd) on the ceiling. There were also System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” SRA (red, wall-mount) remote strobes on the ceiling, as deficiency replacements.
