FACP: Edwards EST3

FACP Location: Main Entrance System Type: Addressable
System Line Voltage: 120VAC
NAC Voltage: 24VDC

System Coding: Temporal

Strobes Synchronized: Yes
Date of last known Upgrade: 2016
Year Opened: 1985

System Specifications

FACP

The museum is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. The system runs EST's Signature-series addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are EST "Genesis" G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no FIRE, set to 15cd), mounted on EST G1RT-FIRE trim plates. The Cretaceous Gardens have EST "Genesis" WG4RN-HVMC weatherproof horn/strobes (red, no FIRE). For outdoor notification, there is an EST CS405-7A-T (red, 15/75cd) remote strobe by the entrance.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGC-270B addressable bilingual single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA2-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on SIGA-SB bases.

System Specifications
FACP: Siemens MXL

FACP Location: Near Main Entrance
System Type: Addressable (Two-Stage)
System Line Voltage: 120VAC
NAC Voltage: 24VDC

System Coding: 20BPM (First Stage)

Pull Stations

The pull stations were Siemens MSI-30B addressable two-stage pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed.

Bonus Information

Above the outdoor strobe, there is an Edwards "Adaptabel" 333D single-stroke bell (6" gong), left over from the original Edwards 6500 system. It is disconnected.
