'''WinSport''', also known as '''Canada Olympic Park''' is a ski hill and multi-purpose training and competition facility located in Calgary. It is located off of 16 Ave NW, but is in SW Calgary. This page will cover the Frank King Day Lodge, the main daylodge of the resort. The lodge was built in 1988, and everything except for the panel is original. The fire alarm system is networked to the one in the adjacent [[Markin MacPhail Centre]].

The fire alarm panel is a rather large Siemens FireFinder XLS. It is located behind the Guest Services Desk, and replaced the original Edwards 6500 around 2012. The panel is very big, but that may have been to fill up the 6500's space.

'''Winsport''', formerly known as Canada Olympic Park, is a winter sports park and ski hill located at 88 Canada Olympic Road Southwest, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  The park hosted the ski, snowboard, bobsled, luge, and skeleton events for the 1988 Winter Olympics. This page will cover the Frank King Day Lodge, which is the main building for regular customers.  The building contains all customer service departments, locker rooms, offices, and a cafeteria. The building opened in 1988, and the fire alarm system is mostly original; the main FACP was installed in 2012, and other devices have been replaced as deficiencies occur.
The notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells. They are original to the building, however beside the bell near the Guest Services entrance, there is an Edwards "Adaptahorn" 884D-N5 (red, FIRE rated) horn, which is also original, but it is not in use as it is 120VAC, and the bells being 24VDC. In the cafeteria on the second floor, there is an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell on an EST "Integrity" 403-5A-R strobe plate, and a Mircom BL-10B motor bell on a Mircom strobe plate (model unknown).

==== Pull Stations ====
The pull stations are Edwards 275-C111, also original. There has only been one replacement spotted, which was by the cafeteria exit to the balcony, and it is an Edwards 270-SPO pull station, from the 2000s.
==== Automatic Detection Devices ====
None noticed.

The panel was replaced when the [[Markin MacPhail Centre]] opened its doors.  This was done because the security office moved to Markin MacPhail, and to monitor it remotely, the panels needed to be networked.  The 6500 was unable to be networked, so the panel was replaced.

System Specifications (2012-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Siemens FireFinder XLS conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located behind the front desk. This panel was installed for remote monitoring from the new Markin MacPhail Centre, and is networked to that system. This panel replaced an Edwards 6500. The system coding is likely continuous.

Notification Appliances

The first, third and basement floors have Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6” gong). The second floor has Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong) on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd), likely due to higher ambient noise levels. There is one Mircom BL-10B motor bell (10” gong) on a Mircom strobe plate (model to be confirmed) in the cafeteria as a deficiency replacement.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations but one are Edwards 275-C111 conventional single-action pull stations. There is one Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull station by the second floor cafeteria exit, installed in the 2000s as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

The building is equipped with a sprinkler system with waterflow detection, so most areas have no detectors. It is unknown if other areas have detectors.
