‘’’Orchard Park Shopping Centre’’’ is an indoor shopping mall in Kelowna, British Columbia. It is the biggest mall between Calgary and Vancouver, with over 170 stores, and 685,000 square feet of retail space. The mall opened its doors in 1971, but the fire alarm system is not original.

System Specifications

FACP

The mall is protected by an EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but has been confirmed by the size of the building, and the initiating devices. The system runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol, and does 20BPM in first stage, followed by code 3 in general alarm.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the mall.
