Prince of Peace Manor is a Christian retirement home located at 300 Prince of Peace Way, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 2005, and the fire alarm system is original except for the main FACP and annunciator.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by an Edwards iO1000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal. This panel was installed in 2019 replacing an Edwards EST2.
Annunciators
There is an Edwards RLCD-C annunciator paired with an Edwards RLED24 annunciator in the main entrance vestibule. Both annunciators are mounted in an Edwards RA-ENC2 enclosure.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd). The common area washrooms have Edwards “Genesis” G1R-V15 remote strobes (red, wall-mount, no lettering, 15cd) in them.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases. The building is fully sprinklered.
Modules
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
