'Real Canadian Superstore' is a chain of large supermarkets operated by Loblaws that has stores across Canada. It is known as Atlantic Superstore in the Maritimes, and Dominion in Newfoundland. This particular store is located in the Seton shopping area of Southeast Calgary, and was built in 2015. The system is original, and like all Loblaws franchises, is serviced by PDS Fire Protection.

System Specifications

FACP

The store is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The main panel is not visible, but the annunciator indicates that it is an FX-2000. When in alarm, the system does code 3.

Annunciators

At the main entrance, there is a Mircom BB1002 annunciator enclosure with two annunciator modules inside. One is an RAX-LCD (LCD, common controls), the other is an RAX-1032TZD (32 LEDs, no common controls).

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are from System Sensor's "SpectrAlert Advance" line of products. Most areas have System Sensor P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 2-wire), set on code 3. The public restrooms, however, have System Sensor SRA remote strobes (red, wall-mount). All strobes are set to 15 candela.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401AP "advanced protocol" addressable pull stations. Most are mounted in STI Stopper II enclosures to prevent accidental activation.

Automatic Detection Devices

The hallways and areas with low ceilings have Mircom MIX-2251AP advanced protocol addressable photoelectric smoke detectors.
