Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa is a 3 star hotel located at 521 Banff Avenue, in Banff, Alberta, Canada. It houses a mountain lodge-style hotel, a spa, and a steakhouse. The building opened in 1993, and most of the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications (1993-present)

FACP

The hotel is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but is confirmed by the picture next to the annunciator having the InfoAlarm Command Center. The system runs Simplex’s MAPNET II addressable protocol, and the system coding is likely continuous. The 4100U replaced the original 4100+

Annunciators

There is a Simplex 4603-9101 LCD annunciator at the entrance.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Simplex 2901-9722 motor bells (10” gong). There are also Simplex 4904-9101 remote strobes scattered throughout the hotel.

Guest Rooms

The rooms have Wheelock MIZ-24-WS mini horn/strobes (red, wall-mount).

Initiating Devices

All pull stations are Simplex 2099-9795 addressable single-action pull stations.
