Calgary Co-op is a chain of grocery stores in the Calgary area. This particular store was built in 1991, and renovated in about 2016. T The renovation gives the store a very weird, darkish vibe. It's not very nice inside, and user YYCsFireAlarmNimrod would not recommend shopping here. The current fire alarm system is from 2016, and the previous system was from around 2006. No details are known about the original system.

System Specifications

FACP

The current fire alarm panel is an EST QuickStart QS1 from 2016. It replaced a 2006 variant following a renovation. It is unknown why they replaced the panel with another identical panel in the same spot, as they could've saved money by just wiring the new devices into the original panel. This shows that the interiors were nimrods. The system does code-3 in alarm, as this is the only coding that the notification appliances can do without significant modifications.

Notification Appliances

The main notification appliances are EST "Genesis" G1R-HDVM (red, wall, no FIRE) horn/strobes, and EST "Genesis" GC-HDVM (white, wall, no FIRE) ceiling-mount horn/strobes.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270, installed in 2016 with the new EST logo. It is unknown why these were replaced, as the previous system was under 10 years old, and the fire alarm system was replaced with an identical model.

Automatic Detection Devices

All smoke detectors are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors.

Previous System Specifications

FACP

The previous fire alarm panel was also an EST QuickStart QS1, but from 2006. It is unknown why this panel was replaced in 2016. Possibly a CPU fault during reprogramming?

Notification Appliances

All previous notification appliances were EST "Genesis" G1R-HDVM (red, wall, no FIRE) horn/strobes. All have been replaced.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The previous pull stations were EST SIGA-270, from 2006. All were replaced.

Automatic Detection Devices

None remembered, but there were likely EST SIGA-PS smoke detectors.
