The Scotiabank Saddledome is a 19,289 seat arena located at 555 Saddledome Rise Southeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The arena is home to the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League. The Calgary Wranglers of the American Hockey League, the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League, and the Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League. The arena opened in 1983, and underwent a renovation in 1994. The fire alarm system is mostly original, however the system was partially upgraded following the 2013 floods.
In April 2023, a bill passed for a new arena for the Calgary Flames, and the Saddledome will be demolished once the new arena is built.

FACP
The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 conventional fire alarm system. There are two panels; the main panel is located next to the security desk at the loading dock, and there is an auxiliary panel near the ice resurfacer entrance. They are mounted in Edwards Custom 6500 Cabinets. The system is configured for two-stage operation, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The alarm sequence has been the same since the 6500 EVAC: alert signal is a 20BPM chime, followed by a 120BPM march time chime for the evacuation signal.
The EST3 was installed in 2013, replacing a variant that was destroyed from the floods, which in turn replaced the original Edwards 6500 with EVAC.
Notification Appliances
Event Level/Main Concourse (1983)
All audible notification appliances are Atlas Sound VT-152 re-entrant speakers (red, ceiling-mounted, 25V). These are located on the ceiling, throughout the concourse and event level, and most of these are original.
The event level has EST “Genesis” G1-VM remote strobes (white, wall-mount, no lettering, set to 15cd) installed in 2013.
Club Level Concourse (1994)
All notification appliances are Edwards 964-1A-8RW remote speakers (white, ceiling-mount, 8", Canadian grill).
Seating Bowl
The seating bowl has Atlas Soundolier GA-30T paging horn speakers (30 watt) hanging from the catwalk.
At each corner of the building, at the top of the stairwells, there are Atlas Sound VT-152 remote speakers (red, ceiling-mount).
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
Most pull stations are the original Edwards 270-GAO conventional two-stage single-action pull stations; the club level concourse has variants installed in 1994. There can be all kinds of variants of the 270-GAO found at some exits as deficiency replacements over the years.
The concourse has EST SIGA-270P addressable single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements, likely with the modules removed.
The event level has Edwards 270P-SPO conventional two-stage single-action pull stations; these were installed due to the original pull stations being damaged by the 2013 floods.
Automatic Detection Devices
The entire building is protected by a sprinkler system with waterflow detection so the system does not go off from the flame cannons.
There is one System Sensor 5601A fixed/rate-of-rise heat detector located at the top of the club level stairwell.
