In October 2018, there was a career fair held at the BMO Centre. There were two tables regarding fire alarm work, one was for CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) and one was for a Tyco fire alarm career. Both of those had mini fire alarm systems for demonstration purposes only.
Note: These systems were for demo purposes only, and did not actually serve to warn people of fire. NEVER pull a fire alarm unless there is actually a fire emergency. The people on this wiki are not responsible for your actions if you get fined.

System Specifications (CFAA)

FACP

The fire alarm control panel for this station was a Notifier NFS-320SYS. It was specially programmed for the demo system.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances consisted of a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" MHWZA (white, silenceable) mini-horn and a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2R (red, wall) horn/strobe, set to 15/75 cd and low volume. The mini-horn would sound when the pull station was activated, and the horn/strobe would activate when the automatic detection devices were activated. Each horn does code-3.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The only pull station was a Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual action pull station. When it was activated, it would sound the mini-horn.

Automatic Detection Devices

The automatic detection devices consisted of two Notifier FSP-851 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors, and a Notifier FST-851R thermal addressable heat detector. When one of these were activated, the horn/strobe would go off.

System Specifications (Tyco)

FACP

The fire alarm control panel for this demo system was a Simplex 4007ES. It also had a Simplex 4606-9202 touchscreen color screen annunciator right next to it. When in alarm, both strobes are synchronized, and the horn does code-3.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances consisted of a Simplex "TrueAlert ES" 59AV-WRF (red, wall) addressable LED horn/strobe and a Simplex "TrueAlert ES" 59VO-WRF (red, wall) addressable LED strobe. The horn/strobe had tape covering the horn grill, due to the loudness of the alarm and the fact that it was for an expo.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The only pull station consisted of a Simplex 4099-9004 IDNet addressable single-action T-bar pull station with an LED.

Automatic Detection Devices

The automatic detection devices consisted of a Simplex "TrueAlarm" 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detector, a Simplex 4098-9403 addressable fixed-temperature heat detector, and a Simplex 4098-9754 addressable multi-sensor heat and smoke detector.
