The Mid Mountain Lodge is the daylodge located mid-mountain at Nakiska Ski Resort, in Kananaskis, AB. It is located right at the top of the Olympic Chairlift, and was built in 1987 along with the chairlift. Most of the system except for the panel is original.

System Specifications (1987-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom Series 1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the back exit, and is in the original Edwards 2280 cabinet. The system coding is likely temporal.

The Series 1000 replaced the original Edwards 2280 in 2007.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6" gong).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are a mix of Edwards 275-C111 pull stations and Edwards 274-111 pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

All smoke detectors are Mircom "i3" 2W-BA photoelectric smoke detectors.

The heat detectors are Edwards 281C rate-of-rise/fixed temperature heat detectors, which have most likely been replaced since they were recalled in 2020.
