Plasti-Fab is a manufacturing company specializing in styrofoam insulation. This page will cover Plant 24, located at 802 McCool Street, in Crossfield, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in the 1980s, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2005.

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-640C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the plant control room on the second floor. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators

There is a Notifier LCD2-80 annunciator in the main stairwell.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bells (10” gong) mounted on Amseco RSB24-153075 strobe plates (15cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations. All stations have Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules attached to them.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FST-851RA addressable 135°F fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some areas. All office areas have Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors. All detectors are mounted on System Sensor B710LPA bases.

Modules

There are Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
