The University of Calgary is a public research university in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover the MacEwan Student Centre, located at 402 Collegiate Blvd NW. The building also houses MacEwan Hall and MacEwan Conference and Event Centre. It was built in 1987, and some of the system is original, with an upgrade in 2021.

Most notification appliances are Simplex “LifeAlarm” 2902-9734 speakers (red, surface-mount), installed in 1987.
There are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9157 speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd) in some newer areas.
Other areas have Simplex 4906-9153 speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Most pull stations are Simplex 4251-30 conventional dual-action break-glass pull stations.
There are Simplex 2099-9754 conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors, mounted on 4098-9792 bases.
