École Secondaire Beaumont Composite High School is a high school located at 5417 43 Ave, Beaumont, AB. It teaches grades 10 to 12, is a bilingual school and has an enrollment of 980 students. It is part of Black Gold Regional Schools district. It was built in 1988, and had a major renovation in 2003. A new wing was constructed in 2021, and the fire alarm system was upgraded following that extension.

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the custodian's office. The system runs Notifier's FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators

There is a Notifier LCD-160 LCD annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances in the main school are Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10" gong) on EST "Integrity" 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd), leftover from the previous system.

The 2021 expansion has Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bells (10" gong) mounted on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW strobe plates (red, set to 15cd).

There are System Sensor "L-Series" SCRLA-E remote strobes (red, ceiling-mount, English only, set to 15cd) in the annex to the main school and in each expansion washroom.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations except for the gymnasium are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.

The gymnasium has Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FSP-951A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in all stairwells and by each set of fire doors.

All offices, storage rooms and other rooms have Notifier FST-951RA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.

All detectors are mounted on System Sensor B300A-6 bases.

Modules

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules for fire door closing and HVAC shutdown.

There was an EST QSA-2-S annunciator with a QS4-CPU-2 CPU and two SL30 zone cards in the main entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong) on EST “Integrity” 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd). These are still in service in the main school.
