Shaganappi Village Shopping Centre is a plaza in Varsity, NW Calgary. It was built in 1966, but the current system is from around 2006. There are a few diverse components of this system.

System Specifications

FACP

The plaza is protected by an EST FireShield E-FS1004 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the Plato's Closet entrance vestibule, and was installed around 2006. The system coding is continuous; the horn/strobes are self-coded to temporal.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances in all tenants except for Matador are EST "Genesis" G1R-HDVM (red, wall, no FIRE, multi-candela) horn/strobes. In Matador, however, there are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6" gong). In Goodwill, there is also a Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6" gong). It is unknown if it is still in use, as there are G1R-HDVM horn/strobes as well.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The main pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional pull stations. In Goodwill's entrance, there is a Notifier MPS-950B pull station as a deficiency replacement, and Matador has Edwards 274-111 pull stations, leftover from the previous system.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed.
