Halifax Stanfield International Airport is the largest airport in Atlantic Canada. It serves the entire province of Nova Scotia. It opened in 1960, and was expanded in 1976, 1994, and 1998. The airport was possibly renovated following the 1998 expansion, although this is unconfirmed. The system is from the 2000s.
System Specifications
FACP
The airport is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel location and models are unconfirmed, but the age and size of the building suggest it's a 4100U. This system is networked, two-stage, voice evac, and runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol.
Notification Appliances
The notification appliances mainly consist of Wheelock RSS-24MCW-FR-B remote strobes. (red, wall-mount, bilingual). There are also Wheelock E70-W (white, 70V) speakers throughout the building, however they are hidden. The main atrium speakers are hidden behind the plastic plants high up in the rafters, and are currently unknown at this time.
