System Specifications (2000s-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located to the left of the main entrance. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Mircom BL-10B motor bells (10” gong), with Mircom “Select-A-Strobe” FS-240R remote strobes (red, wall-mount) under them. These combos are mounted on pillars in the middle sections of the stores. On the exterior walls of the store, there are Mircom “Select-A-Horn/Strobe” FHS-240R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401AD addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed.

Code Violations

As of December 2021, there were two code violations in the store. The FACP was blocked by a framed picture, which is not allowed. The CFAA fire code also states that the sound of a system must be uniform, and bells and horns cannot be mixed.

Bonus Information

There is a Notifier SM950B pull station at the emergency exit near the checkouts, used as a door release station.
