Tao of Peace is a martial arts studio located at 6331 Bowness Rd NW in Calgary. It was built in 1977, but the system is not original. It also has an overkill system, the fire alarm control unit is way too big for a building that size.

The studio is protected by a Mircom Series 1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is in the front entrance, and was installed sometime before 2013. It is unknown why they went for such a large panel like a Mircom FA-1000. The system coding is likely continuous.
Notification Appliances
There are three notification appliances in the whole building. After the entrance, there is a Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6" gong) rebranded by Fire-Lite on a Wheelock RSSP-24MCW (red, multi-candela) strobe plate. By the mats by an exit, there's a Wheelock MB-G10-24 motor bell (10" gong) on a Wheelock RSSP-24MCW (multi-candela) strobe plate, and the other signal on the far left of the mats is a true Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6" gong), also on an RSSP-24MCW strobe plate.

There are three pull stations; a Simplex MS-301C conventional pull station by the entrance, a Notifier NFM-950B by the right exit, and Mircom MS-401 at the far left exit.
