The University of Central Florida is a large private university in Orlando, Florida, USA. This page will cover the Student Union building. The building opened in 1993, and was expanded in 1997. The fire alarm system is partially original.

FACP
The building is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located behind the main desk. The system runs Simplex’s MAPNET II addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The evac messages and/or tones are unknown at this time.

Automatic Detection Devices
The 1993 portion of the building has Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9716 addressable ionization smoke detectors mounted on Simplex 4098-9781 bases. The 1996 portion and some areas of the 1993 portion have Simplex 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 addressable bases. There is a Simplex 4098-9733 addressable fixed/rate-of-rise heat detector above the restaurant, mounted on a Simplex 4098-9792 addressable base.
