Nickle School is a Junior High School in Calgary, AB. As of February 2023, The current system is currently being replaced with a Notifier addressable system.
Current System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a Simplex 4002 Conventional Control panel. It is located at the front door. The panel will most likely not meet fate yet though. As a current board members company has the install and demo contract for a new system and is currently working on the new system now. The system is not expected to be completed for another several weeks. Until then this system must remain in service (01/27/2023)
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are mostly Simplex 2901-9720 6-inch motor bells. However there are Simplex 2901-9722 10-inch motor bells in areas such as the gym and in random-ass places in the hallways.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are Simplex 2099-9201 single-action conventional pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are a mixture of Simplex thermoflex looking thingymabobs in there.
New System Specifications
FACP
The building is will be protected by a Notifier NFS-320C in a Notifier 3030 Cabinet (exact model number to be determined) this cabinet is used to accommodate a Notifier ACPS-610 addressable booster power supply which adds an additional 4 NACs to the cabinet.
Notification Appliances
In the Gym, Hallways, and Woodshop there are System Sensor P2RLA (red, wall mount) horn/strobes mounted and ready for service. In the classrooms, there are System Sensor P2GRLA (red, wall-mount) compact horn/strobes. It is unknown why this was done as there is no difference in sound between the P2RLA and P2GRLA.

There are about 40 Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations installed throughout.
Automatic Detection Devices
There is mostly Notifier FST-951RA rate-of-rise heat detectors installed throughout with FSP-951A optical smoke detectors in the hallways. All are mounted on System Sensor B300A-6 white bases.
