System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a Fire-Lite MS-5UD conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located just past the main entrance, and replaced an EST 6604 in 2013. The system coding is continuous.
Notification Appliances
There are two notification appliances on this system; one outside and one inside. The indoor notification appliance is a Wheelock MBS-G6-24 motor bell/strobe (6” gong, 1.5cd). The outdoor notification appliance is an Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bell (6” gong).
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Edwards 281C conventional rate-of-rise/fixed-temperature heat detectors throughout the building. It is unknown why it is still there, as this model was recalled in 2020.
Code Violations
The Wheelock bell/strobe inside the restaurant has been blocked by a menu since 2013. This is a violation of CAN/ULC code as the strobe flashes are not visible.
