Southgate Station is a light rail train station located adjacent to the Southgate Centre shopping mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The station opened in 2010, and the fire alarm system is original.

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in an electrical room. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are from System Sensor's "SpectrAlert Advance" line of products.

Most notification appliances are System Sensor P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). Some areas have System Sensor PC2RA or PC2WA horn/strobes (red/white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd). Areas with higher noise levels have System Sensor HRA remote horns (red, wall-mount) in addition to the aforementioned horn/strobes.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the station. The bridge area has FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors, with Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules attached to them.
