Mic Mac Mall is a shopping mall located at 21 Micmac Blvd, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. It houses several anchor stores, such as Hudson’s Bay and Decathlon. It opened its doors in 1973, and was expanded in 1978 and 1981. The fire alarm system was upgraded in the 2000s.

FACP

The mall is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel locations are unknown. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is 20BPM, followed by temporal for the alarm signal.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards bells. Most areas have Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong) behind metal grilles. The non-primary corridors have the same Edwards 439D-10AWC bells, but surface mounted. There is one Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bell (6” gong) near entrance 1. The Decathlon store has Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong), installed in 2020.

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270PB addressable two-stage, bilingual, single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the mall, mounted on SIGA-SB bases. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
