The Edwards 333D is a single-stroke fire alarm bell series manufactured by Edwards, part of the Adaptabel series. The bells could come in two gong sizes: 6" and 10". It was introduced around 1964 and discontinued in the early-1990s. This bell is very, very rare in Alberta, but was mostly installed in medical facilities through the 1970s-1980s.

Specifications

  • Voltage - 24VDC
  • Loudness - 92 dB (6")
  • Type - single-stroke bell

History

The 333D was introduced in 1964 to replace the Edwards no 24. No changes were made until about 1977, when the logo was changed to the Edwards logo at the time. In 1985, it was changed to the MicroSquare font, but the bell was discontinued several years later.

User:Alberta Fire Alarms has one of these bells. The bell was manufactured in 1977, and was formerly used in the Calgary General Hospital, until its demolition in 1998. He got the bell in October 2018 from a retired Calgary firefighter who saved it. The bell has been used on numerous panels.
