Stew Hendry and Henry Viney Arenas are ice hockey arenas located at 814 13 Ave NE, Calgary, AB. They are owned and operated by the City of Calgary. Stew Hendry Arena was built in 1966, and Henry Viney arena was built in 1977. The fire alarm system was upgraded around 2014, and has parts from circa 1998 in Henry Viney.

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-640C hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is continuous. Henry Viney is set up as conventional, while Stew Hendry is set up as addressable.

Henry Viney

All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong), with EST “Integrity” 202-5A-T remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd) beside each bell.

Stew Hendry

Most notification appliances are Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bells (10” gong), with Wheelock RSSWP-2475-FR weatherproof remote strobes beside each bell (red, wall-mount, 75cd).
The dressing rooms have Wheelock MT-24MCW-FR multi-tone horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd, tone TBA).

Pull Stations

Most pull stations in Henry Viney Arena are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
There are Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations in some areas as deficiency replacements.
All pull stations in Stew Hendry are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There is a mix of FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors and Edwards 281C conventional 135°F fixed-temperature rate-of-rise heat detectors throughout Henry Viney arena.
The pump room has an FDD CR-135-EXP conventional explosion-proof 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector.
There is also one Potter CR-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector.
Stew Hendry has Notifier FST-851RA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
