Hotel Arts is a 12-story hotel in Downtown Calgary. It was built in 2005, and has the original fire alarm system.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm control panel is a Simplex 4100U. It is located in the front entrance, and is original to the hotel. It is unknown if it is InfoAlarm or not, as it is blocked by a sign. The panel is 3 bays. When the system goes into alarm, all strobes are synchronized, and all horns (mini-horns and horn/strobes) do code-3. Unlike other hotels, when the fire alarm goes off, everyone has to evacuate as this is not two-stage.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances consist of Simplex "TrueAlert" 4906-9127 (red, wall) horn/strobes. They are original from 2005, and are seen throughout the hotel. The rooms consist of Simplex 4901-9852C (white) silenceable mini-horns.

Initiating Devices
