The Foothills Stadium is a stadium in Calgary, AB. This page will cover the Capital and Asset Management building, located at 2255 Crowchild Trail NW, Calgary, AB. It was built in 1994, and the fire alarm system is mostly original, with parts replaced as deficiencies occur.
System Specifications (1994-present)
FACP
The building is protected by a Notifier AFP-200 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance. The system runs Notifier’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is continuous.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are Wheelock MBS-G6-24 motor bell/strobes (6” gong).
The following bell/strobes were installed as deficiency replacements:
- Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6” gong) on Wheelock RSSP-241575W strobe plate (red, 15/75cd) at bottom of stairs
- Mircom BL-6B motor bell (6” gong) mounted on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW-FR strobe plate (red, set to 15cd) in main floor offices
- Mircom BL-10B motor bell (10” gong) mounted on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW-FR strobe plate (red, set to 15cd) in fitness room.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations but one are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Simplex MS-301C conventional single-action pull station as a deficiency replacement.
All pull stations are wired to Notifier MMX-101A addressable monitor modules.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are a Notifier FDX-551A addressable thermal smoke detectors in the copy and electrical rooms.
There is a Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detector at the top of the stairs as a deficiency replacement.
All smoke detectors are mounted on System Sensor BX501 bases.
The lounges, kitchens, and mechanical room have Edwards 283C conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors.
There is an FDD CF-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the lower copy room as a deficiency replacement.
All heat detectors are wired to Notifier MMX-101A addressable monitor modules.
