AgeCare Glenmore is a retirement home located at 1729 90 Ave SW, Calgary, Alberta. The building opened in the early 1970s as the Beverly Care Centre, expanded in 1984 and in the early 1990s. The fire alarm system was upgraded in the early 1990s, with a minor upgrade in 2015.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the basement electrical room. The panel has several Notifier XP6-MA zone cards to accommodate the conventional devices. The system configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is 20BPM, followed by Temporal as the alarm signal.

Annunciators

There is a Notifier LCD2-80 annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6” gong), mounted behind grilles to amplify the sound.
There is one Simplex 2901-9723 motor bell (6” gong) as a deficiency replacement.
Each bell has an Edwards 802-2B remote strobe (red, wall-mount) mounted next to it.

All pull stations are Edwards 270-GAO conventional dual-stage single-action pull stations.

There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional 2-wire photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.
