Elizabeth Barrett Elementary School is an elementary school located at 605 4 Ave N, Cochrane, AB. It was built in 1977, and had portables added in 1991 and 1999. The fire alarm system was mostly upgraded in 2008.

FACP
The building is protected by an EST QuickStart QS1 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the lobby. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is likely temporal.
The QuickStart QS1 replaced an EST ESA2000 in 2008.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances but one are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong). These were installed in 1993, and were not replaced with the upgrade. These are also on the exterior.
There is an Edwards MB10-24 motor bell (10” gong) on the exterior as a deficiency replacement.

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.
Some areas have EST SIGA-HRS addressable fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
All detectors are mounted on SIGA-SB bases.

The building was protected by an EST ESA2000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel was located in the lobby. The system coding was continuous.
