Happy Valley Elementary School is an elementary school located at 3291 Happy Valley Road, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The school opened in 2007, replacing the old building which was destroyed by a fire in 2004.

System Specifications (Main Building)

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is continuous.

Main Building

Most notification appliances are Mircom BL-10B motor bells (10” gong).

There are Mircom “Select-A-Strobe” FS-240R remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in the gymnasium and some classrooms.

Portables

The notification appliances are a mix of Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong) and Simplex 2901-9722 motor bells (10” gong).

There are Mircom 5601A addressable 135 degree fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors installed in the portables.

There are Mircom MIX-M501MA addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

There are Mircom MP-300 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
