HealthPlus Midnapore is a multitenant medical building located at 290 Midpark Way Southeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1980, and the fire alarm system has been slowly upgraded over the years; only some pull stations and one bell remain original.

System Specifications (1980-present)

FACP

The building is protected by an EST FireShield FS1004G conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system coding is temporal. This panel was installed circa 2004 replacing an Edwards 2280.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are a mix of Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong) and Mircom BL-10B motor bells (10” gong); the Mircom bells were deficiency replacements.

The dental office has an Edwards “Durabel” 6100D vibrating bell (10” gong), the only original bell remaining.

The atrium has a Mircom BL-6B motor bell (6” gong) as a deficiency replacement.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.

Some areas have Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are likely FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors present, however this is unconfirmed. The building is not equipped with a sprinkler system.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
