Misericordia Community Hospital is a general hospital located at 16940 87 Avenue NW, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The hospital is jointly owned and operated by Covenant Health and Alberta Health Services. The hospital was built in 1969, and expanded in 1992. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 1999.

FACP

The building is protected by a Cerberus Pyrotronics MXLV addressable fire alarm system. This is a networked system with several nodes; one node is located in the main lobby. The system runs Cerberus’ FirePrint addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation, however the messages and/or tones are unknown at this time.

Annunciators

There are Cerberus Pyrotronics RCC-1 LCD annunciators at all nurse’s stations.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Arnscott AS4011 remote speakers (white, ceiling-mount, 4” round, 70V).

All pull stations are Cerberus Pyrotronics MSI-30B addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

There are Cerberus Pyrotronics ILP-1 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.

There are Cerberus Pyrotronics TRI-B6 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.

EOLs

There are Cerberus Pyrotronics EL-31 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
