System Specifications (2019-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Kidde VS4 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the upstairs mechanical/boiler room. The system runs Kidde's GSA addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators

There is a Kidde K-RLCD-C LCD annunciator and a K-RLED24 LED annunciator at the entrance.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are from EST's "Genesis" line of products, and were installed in 2019.

Most notification appliances are EST GC-HDVM horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no lettering, set to 30cd).

There are EST G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no lettering, set to 15cd) in the gymnasium and shop; these were newly installed in new locations with the NAC overhaul, and did not remain from the previous setup.

For exterior notification, there is an Edwards WG4RN-HVMC weatherproof horn/strobe (red, no lettering, set to 70cd) by the tarmac, and an EST "Integrity" CS405-8A-T weatherproof remote strobe (red, 110cd) by the entrance.

Prior to the overhaul, all indoor notification appliances were EST G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no lettering, set to 15cd) and there were two CS405-8A-T strobes outside. However, one was removed during the overhaul.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional pull stations. Most were installed in the 1990s, but there are a couple second-generation ones. There is a GE-rebranded 270-SPO as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

All smoke detectors are Kidde KIR-PD addressable optical smoke detectors, mounted on KI-SB bases. The duct detectors in the air handling units and above ceilings are Kidde SD-2W two-wire photoelectric duct smoke detectors.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all pull station and signal circuits.
