Wilderness Village RV Resort Lodge

From FireAlarmPedia

Wilderness Village is a member-owned campground with many amenities. The campground opened in 1989, and is located in Crimson Lake Provincial Park, near the town of Rocky Mountain House. The daylodge consists of a little store and a "lodge lounge", where campers can go to and play games, read books or relax. The fire alarm system in the daylodge is original.

System Specifications

Panel

The day lodge is protected by an Edwards 1527 fire alarm system. The panel is original to the lodge from 1989, and is located in the lodge lounge beside the bookshelf. Since there were no coding options for the 1527, the system does continuous.

Notification Appliances

Oddly enough, there is only one notification appliance spotted so far. It is an Edwards 6100D 10" "Durabel" vibrating bell. It is outside, beside the entrance to the lodge lounge but under a roof. This bell is original from 1989, as seen by the faded sticker. It is unknown where and what the other alarms are inside.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The store has two Edwards 270-SPO pull stations. There is one at the entrance that is probably new old stock, as it has the old "E" logo and FIRE ALARM at the top. The other 270-SPO is a GE branded one from around the early 2010s, possibly replacing a 1989 270-SPO. The lodge lounge has two Edwards 275-C111 pull stations, from 1989.

Automatic Detection Devices

The store has one Edwards EDW1451A "doorknob" ionization smoke detector, and the lodge lounge has two of them. There is an Edwards 280B-PL heat detector in the kitchen of the store.
