Panorama Springs Lodge

From FireAlarmPedia

Panorama Springs Lodge is a 5-story condo building in Panorama Mountain Resort, near Invermere, BC. It was built in 1999, and has the original fire alarm system. The condos also have Panorama Springs Pools outside.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm panel is an EST2, as confirmed by an annunciator. The panel itself is not visible, it's located in an electrical room in the underground parking. It is original.

Annunciators

There is an EST 2-LSRA-C remote annunciator at the main entrance.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances mainly consist of the original General Signal MB10-24 motor bells. There are a few that are vandalized or mounted weirdly, such as the main and 5th floors having an upside down one, and the one in the elevator room in the parking garage has part of its label missing. There are about 4 bells per floor. There are EST 683-1C silenceable mini horns branded by General Signal in the hallways of each unit. Some units have their mini-horns upside down. The mini-horns are original as well. In the hallway to the pools, there is an Edwards MB10-24 motor bell which replaced an original General Signal bell that failed in the early 2010s. For outdoor notification at the Panorama Springs Pools, there is a General Signal MB10-24 mounted upside down under an overhang of the sauna.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The main pull stations are Edwards 270A-SPO. Despite being original, they are the late 1980s variants, so they are most likely new old stock, however there is one 1990s-2000s Edwards 270-SPO by the pool entrance which may be original.. Some of the original pull stations failed in around 2011-2013, and were replaced with EST (GE) SIGA-270 addressable pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

The smoke detectors are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors, most original from 1999. Some were replaced with 2011-13 EST GE variants.
