Stu Peppard Arena

From FireAlarmPedia

Stu Peppard Arena is an arena located in North Glenmore, SW Calgary. It is unknown when the building was built, but it might be around the 1990s, according to some notification appliances. It is unknown if the fire alarm components on the older system are original or not.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm control panel for this arena is a Mircom FX-2000. It is located at the front entrance, and replaced a Notifier System 500 from the 1990s. It is likely that this panel was installed for the system to be fully addressable.

Notification Appliances

The main notification appliances consist of Notifier KMS-6-24VDC/P motor bells, with System Sensor SS24LO/SS24M strobes right beside them. Some of the fire bells have quit working and were replaced with the following (the System Sensor SS42LO strobes are still intact). In the main arena, there's an Edwards "Durabel" 6100D (6" gong) vibrating bell from the 1990s, and an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell, both have a System Sensor SS24LO strobe right beside it. In the dressing rooms, there are Wheelock MBS-G10-24 motor bell/strobes. One has been replaced with a Mircom BL-10B motor bell on a Mircom strobe plate (model number to be confirmed.) These were on the System 500, and are still existing at the arena. They were not replaced due to no building expansions.
Adam, quit being a frickin' nimrod, and work on this.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All of the pull stations consist of Mircom MS-401AP addressable pull stations. They most likely replaced Notifier MPS-950B pull stations, and were replaced to make the system fully addressable.

Automatic Detection Devices

The automatic detection devices consist of Mircom MIX-2251AP addressable photoelectric smoke detectors.
